like term Terms of an expression which the same variables raised to the same exponents
simplest form The simplest form of an algebraic expression is on which has like terms and no parentheses
linear expression An algebraic form of an algebraic expression in which the exponent of the variable is 1
Literal equation An equation that has two or more variables
inequality a mathematical sentence that compares expressions
solution of an inequality A value that makes the inequality true
solution set The set of all number which makes a mathematical statemnet true
graph of an inequality a graph that show all the solutions of the inequality on the number line
linear equation an equation whose graph is a line
solution of a linear equation all of the point on a line that makes the equations true
slope a ration of the changes in y (the rise) to the changes in x (the run between any two points on the line. It measure of the steepness of a line.
