Word Processing Create, format, edit, share and print documents.
Default Font & Font Size the pre-set styles that automatically appear for new documents and are the starting point for text
Single Spacing the lines of text in a paragraph are tightly packed together with no extra space between them
Double Spacing a format that adds an extra empty line between every line of text, doubling the space from the default single spacing
Make a Copy to produce an exact duplicate of an original document, file, or object
Download To copy a document file from a remote server or the internet to your local device
Version History Allows you to access previous edits and changes made to doc.
Move Move your document to a new location (folder) in your Drive.
Underline A solid line means you have manually applied it for emphasis or to create a heading
Italicize To style text with a slanted, cursive font to differentiate it or draw attention to it
Cut Removes the selection to be pasted somewhere else on the document
Copy Duplicated the selection to be pasted somewhere else on the document.
Paste Add the content that has been cut or copied onto your document
Paste Without Formatting Pasting the text of a copied item while discarding all its original styling, such as font, color, size, and hyperlinks
Share Give others access to edit, comment, or view your Google Doc

Print & Print Preview Print Preview is a feature that shows you what the document will look like before it's printed, allowing you to adjust settings like margins, page breaks, and orientation
Rename Give your document a new name. To do this, click the name in the top left corner and type.
Decrease Font to reduce the size of the text in a document or on a screen, making it smaller and taking up less space
Page Color the background color of the entire document
Font Color the color of the text, which can be used for visual appeal, emphasis, or to convey meaning and brand identity
Capitalization using uppercase letters in grammar, a business accounting practice of spreading asset costs over time, and a financial metric representing a company's total market value
Highlight to visually emphasize text by coloring its background
Superscript a typographical feature that places characters or symbols above the normal line of text
Subscript a character, number, or symbol that is printed slightly below and to the side of another character
Strikethrough a horizontal line drawn through text to indicate deletion or irrelevance
Bold to make text appear thicker and darker to emphasize it, highlight key information, or create headings
Bullets Bulleted List - symbols in front of a list
Numbering Numbered List - numbers in front of a list
Share allowing others to access your document, either by sending them a direct link to their email or by sharing a link that is accessible to anyone with the link
Viewer a user with read-only access who can open and view the document but cannot make changes
Commenter has the ability to view the document and add comments or suggested edits, but cannot directly change the document's content
Editor a user with permission to modify, add, or delete content in a document
Left Alignment a text formatting option that positions text and other elements flush with the left margin, creating a straight left edge and a "ragged" right edge
Center Alignment positioning text horizontally in the middle of the page, equidistant from both the left and right margins
Justified Alignment the text is stretched to line up evenly with both the left and right margins of the document
Right Alignment a formatting option that positions text, images, or other elements along the right edge of a document, container, or margin
Shading Applying a background color to a world, paragraph, table cells". , or even the entire
Borders A line that traces and frames the outer edge of a document, a paragraph, an image, or a table
Find & Replace Allows you to search for specific text or formatting in a document and optionally replace it with something else
Select All To highlight the entire document's content, including all text, images, and other elements, to perform an action on everything at once
Table A table is a grid of rows and columns that organizes complex information so that it is easy to find and understand.
Rows The horizontal lines of cells in a table, where information is arranged from left to right
Columns Change your document to one, two, or three columns.
Cells The individual boxes within table, formed by the intersection of a row and a column
Word Count Tells you how much words are on the page
Image/Online Pictures Insert an image into your doc from your computer, the web, Drive, URL, or camera.
Word Art A feature within the drawing tool that allows you to create stylized, decorative text with special effects like shadows, reflections, and different colors
Shapes Circle, Square, rectangle, triangle
Drawing Insert a new Google Drawing or a Google Drawing from your Drive.
Charts A chart is defined as a diagram that illustrates and compares data.
Hyperlink Clickable text or an image that links to another location, such as a different web page, a specific part of the same document, or file
Headers . Headers and Footers are placed outside of the normal typing margins
Footers Text at the very top and very bottom of your document.
Page Numbers Insert a page number at the top or bottom of your page. You can also choose the position of the page number.
Text Box Movable, separate object used to position and highlight text anywhere within a document , distinct from the main flow of text
Page Orientation The direction in which a page is laid out
Special Characters/Symbols Insert characters that are not numbers or letters present on your keyboard
Margins (default size) The blank spaces around the edges of the page that separate the content from the physical border
Landscape Oriented horizontally which makes it wider than it is tall
Portrait The height is greater than the width makes a vertical layout
Spelling/Grammar Check Correct spelling and grammar within your document
Undo Removes the action just done.
Redo Adds the last action that was deleted back into the document
Zoom zoom into the screen to see better
Format Painter allows you to copy formatting like the font alignment and color.
Clear Formatting Removes all text formatting.
Help Use this search menu to type in any command and apply it in your document
