| point | an exact location |
| line segment | section of a line, bounded by 2 endpoints |
| line | a straight path that goes on forever in 2 directions, infinite length |
| ray | part of a line with 1 endpoint extending infinitely in 1 direction |
| angle | formed when 2 lines or rays meet at a point, called a vertex |
| straight angle | an angle that measures 180 degrees |
| acute angle | an angle that measures less than 90 degrees |
| right angle | an angle that measures exactly 90 degrees |
| obtuse angle | an angle that measures greater than 90 degrees |
| parallel lines | lines that will never touch |
| perpendicular lines | lines that cross and make 90 degrees angles |
| intersecting lines | lines that cross |
| complimentary angles | 2 angles that when added together equal s90 degrees |
| supplementary angles | 2 angles that when added together equals 180 degrees |
