Biomolecules are chemicals that are made by living things
Trace elements are those elements that are only required by living things in tiny amounts, eg Fe, Cu and I (Iodine)
Autotroph is ask organism that can make it's own food. All plants are autotrophs. they make their own food during photosynthesis
Heterotroph an organism that cannot make its own food. Humans are heterotrophs as they obtain their food by eating other plants or animals
Nutrients Are the chemical substances found in food that are used by organisms
Monosaccharides are carbohydrates that are composed of a single sugar unit
Disaccharides are carbohydrates that are composed of two sugar units joined together
Polysaccharides are carbohydrates that are composed of many sugar units
