Senate Pro Tempore Charles E. Grassley longest serving Senator in the Majority Party (presides over Senate when VP is absent)
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer: brings the demands of the Democrats to the Majority Leader
Senate Majority Leader John Thune: Guides the Republican Party’s agenda to create policies in line with Republican goals.
House Majority Whip Tom Emmer: Counts potential votes for different bills, reports to the Majority Leader and gets more Representatives to vote how the Party wants them too
House Minority Whip Katherine Clark: Same job as the Majority, but tries to get Representatives I the Majority to vote against their party
