culture The way of life of a group of people including housing, clothing, language, food and customs
ice age From 70,000 BC to about 10,000 years ago, when Glaciers covered most of North America this created the land bridge
berginga Also called The Land Bridge land connecting Asia and North America once above water but now under the Sea the first Americans migrated over on the Lambridge while following their food this is how the first people reached North America.
neolithic revolution "New Stone Age", the time around 8,000 BC when people learn to produce their own food led to civilization as we know it
nomads Someone who moves around from place to place with no permanent home hunting and Gathering people are usually nomadic all people were nomadic until farming was invented
Archeologists Scientists who study the earlier remains in cultures of humans
Artifacts Objects made by early people which can give Clues about the past
Climate The average weather of a place over a year climate and the environment affects how we live and how the Native Americans lived
Physical regions Different areas of the United States that share common physical characteristics such as the Great Plains Rocky Mountains and great Basin physical geography and the environment affects how we live and how the Native Americans lived
clans Groups of related families many Native American societies are divided into Clans
pueblos Villages Stonehomes built in the sides of mountains by the Anasani people of the Southwest environment affects culture
drought Are long periods of time with little are no rainfall. hurts farming unless irrigation is used
adobe Sun-Dried mud brick used to build the homes of the Hopi and Anasani in the southwest. (hot and dry)
