endometrial cancer of the endometrial tissue (the lining of the uterus)
endometriosis a condition that causes endometrial tissue to grow on the outer surface of the uterus
hyperemesis a condition of excessive nausea and vomiting during pregnancy
intrapartum the period of time during childbirth
postpartum depression experienced after the birth of a child
intrauterine insemination an assistive reproductive treatment in which a high concentration of sperm is injected directly into the uterus during ovulation; also called IUI
postnatal care given in the time after birth; also called postpartum care
prenatal care given in the time before birth (i.e.., during pregnancy)
transrectal a test in which an ultrasound probe is inserted into the rectum to produce images of the prostate
