Battle of Trenton Americans Victorious. Surprise attack Hessians at Trenton on Dec. 26th. afterwards GW leaves fires burning to escape to Princeton and escape the British to get a well needed victory.
Battle of Yorktown Cornwallis heads to Yorktown where he hoped to get reinforcements. Meanwhile Greene goes through and retakes most of south. Washington goes to virginia to trap cornwallis by land French naval surround the British by sea British surrender on Oct. 18th
Valley Forge (though it wasn’t a battle) GW hous troops@valleyforge during winter o1777-78. He chose location to keepeye on brit, give enough time to defend attack, have plenty access to natural resources such as trees/rivers. Thru sickness starvation, troops were trained under baronvonstueben.
