TermDefinition
Erosion The moving of weatherd material or sediment from one location to another.
Deposition The laying down or settling or eroded material.
Meander A board c shaped curve stream.
Long shure current A current that flows parellel to the line.
Delta A large deposite of sediment that forms were a stream enters a large body of water.
Abrsion The grinding away of rock or other surface particles carried by wind, water, ice, scrape agants them.
Dune A pile of wind blown in sand.
Loess A crumbly windblown deposite of slit and clay
Mass wasting A downhill movement of a large mass of rocks or soil due to gravity.
Landslide A rapid downhill movement of soil loos rocks and bolders.
Talus A pile of angular rocks and sediment from rockfall.
Glacier A large mass of ice formed by snow that moves slowly across earths surface.
Till A mixture of varies sizes of sediment that has been deposite by glaceirs.
Morain A mound or ridge of unsorted sediment deposited by glacier.
Outwash Layerd sediment deposited by streams of water that flow from melting glacier.
