Why was Ms. Narwin requesting a grant-in-aid (financial assistance) from the school? She wanted to attend a two-week seminar on new ways to teach literature.
What major problem is the school district facing? a lack of money
What does Philip have to say about his English Exam grade in his diary? Narwin is so dumb she didn't get the joke.
Why was the marching band teacher provided grant money instead of Miss Narwin? The marching band show during half time will bring in more people to watch the game and strengthen the community bond.
Does Philip take any of Coach Jamison’s suggestions to help out his grade? No, he simply places blame for his failures on someone else.
What reason does Philip give his dad for not trying out for track? He doesn't have to do track just because his dad did track.
