Bi- Meaning: Two Example: Binocular- involving both eyes
Tri- Meaning: Three Example: Trifocal- lenses with 3 focal points
Ab- Meaning: Away Example: Abrasion- scraping away of skin/tissue
Ad- Meaning: Toward Example: Adipose- tissue toward the fat
Ecto-,Exo- Meaning: Outside Example: Ectopic Pregnancy: pregnancy outside the uterus
Endo- Meaning: in, inside Example: Endoscopy- medical procedure using a scope to look inside the body
Epi- Meaning: Upon Example: Epicardium- outer layer of the heart wall
Anterior/Ventral Meaning: In front of the body Example: Face, chest, throat
