| Alliance | An agreement between countries to support each other in times of conflict or war. |
| Armistice | An agreement to stop fighting and create a temporary peace. |
| Blockade | The act of blocking a place to prevent people or goods from entering or leaving, often used during wars. |
| Casualty | Someone who is injured, killed, or missing in a war or accident. |
| Conscription | A requirement for citizens to join the military, also called a "draft." |
| Diplomacy | The process of countries talking and working together to solve problems and avoid conflict. |
| Dominate | To have control or power over others, often in a political or military sense. |
| Ethnic | Related to a group of people with shared culture, language, or history. |
| Genocide | The organized killing of a large group of people, especially from a particular ethnic group or nation. |
| Mobilization | Getting a country’s army and resources ready for war. |
| Nationalism | A strong sense of pride in one’s country, often with the belief that it is better than others. |
| Neutral | Not supporting either side in a conflict or war. |
| Propaganda | Information used to influence people’s opinions, often in a biased or misleading way. |
| Radical | Favoring extreme changes in society or government. |
| Stalemate | A situation in which neither side can win or move forward, often causing a standstill. |
| Trench Warfare | A type of fighting where soldiers hide in long, deep ditches to protect themselves from the enemy. |
| Treaty | An official agreement between countries to end a conflict or solve a problem. |
| Front | The area where the most intense fighting happens between opposing armies. |
| Rationing | Limiting the amount of certain goods people can buy, usually to save resources for the war effort. |
