QuestionAnswer
Plant cells Plant cells have rigid walls which helped to provide structure and support for the plant
Plant tissues There are three different ti tissue types. Dermal tissue vascular tissue and ground tissue.
Plant organs Leaves, stems roots, and flowers are all plant organs made up of the three tissue types. For example, the stem is covered by dermal tissue inside the stem the vascular tissue that transports water and nutrients is surrounded by ground tissue. Ground tissu
Plant organ systems They are organized into two organ systems the shoot system, and the root system.
The shoot system Includes leaves stems, and the flowers.
The root system Takes up water and nutrients from the soil
How do organ systems work together to allow organisms to survive and grow grow? The root system takes up water and nutrients from the soil and takes it to the rest of the plant. The shoe system is what the nutrients take from the soil.
Why do sun dudes? Need to capture insects? The insects provide nutrients that are missing from the soil
Why do you think son do do not need strong Groot Sundews do not need strong roots because they have very little nutrients in the soil.
How does the structure of the sun do leaf relate to its function The structure relates to the function by the sticky substance on the leaf to trap insects
Nitrogen and phosphorus They are used for cellular processes and growth in the soil
Photosynthesis The process that uses energy from sunlight to convert water molecules and carbon dioxide into sugars and oxygen
What are the inputs to a plant? Sunlight, water carbon dioxide
What are the outputs of a plant? Sugar oxygen waste
How do humans and animals benefit from sugars and plants? We eat fruit from the plant plants, which has sugar
Xylem Water moves from the roots to the stems through tube shaped cells
Phloem Carry sugar throughout the plant
Stems Organs that transport nutrients to all parts of the plant body provide support to the plant
Roots Organs that absorb water and dissolved nutrients from soil
Taproot Stores nutrients, and it is drought tolerant
Fibrous root Protects the soil
Stomata Water carbon dioxide and oxygen enter and exit a plant. They’re tiny openings in the leafs surface.
If too much water is lost the stove model will close. How does this affect a plant’s ability to regulate levels of carbon dioxide and oxygen? The leaf will not be able to perform photosynthesis as well
What would most likely occur if most of the plants still model became blocked? It will not be able to perform photosynthesis and most likely die
Why do you think it’s important for plants to be able to regulate the level of water in their bodies? If they have too much water, the cells will burst if they don’t have enough water the plants will wilt
Plants regularly water in their bodies how By opening and closing their stomata
Waxy coating Helps prevent water loss
