Chemical energy Energy stored in an objects molecules
Light energy Energy in the form of waves that can travel through an empty space
Electrical energy Energy of moving electronics or electric charges
Thermal energy Energy of heat
Mechanical energy Energy of motion. A combination of the kinetic and potential energy of an object.
Sound energy Energy caused by vibrations
Transformed The process of changing energy from one form to another
Law of conservation of energy Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed or transferred
Photosynthesis Plants transforming light energy from the sun to chemical energy, which supplies the plant with food
Transferred Energy moving from object to object while remaining in the same form
