¿Qué es un recurso en biología ecológica? Es una entidad requerida por un organismo cuyas cantidades son reducidas por la actividad de otros organismos.
Menciona ejemplos de recursos para la fotosíntesis. Luz, CO₂, H₂O y minerales.
¿Qué recursos utilizan los organismos quimiosintéticos? Metano, iones de amonio y sulfuro de hidrógeno.
¿Qué es la radiación fotosintéticamente activa (PAR)? Es la fracción de la radiación solar utilizada por las plantas para la fotosíntesis.
¿Qué factores influyen en la adaptación morfológica y fisiológica de los organismos fotosintéticos? La intensidad y la calidad de la radiación.
¿Por qué es indispensable el agua para los organismos? Porque es esencial para la fotosíntesis y las actividades metabólicas.
¿Cómo influye el agua en la fenología y en los ecosistemas? Determina ciclos de vida, estructura de comunidades y características de ecosistemas.
¿Quién definió el nicho ecológico como el “modo de vida” de los organismos? Charles Elton (1933).
¿Qué agregó Hutchinson (1957) al concepto de nicho ecológico? Que el nicho se define por las tolerancias y requerimientos que permiten a un organismo vivir, crecer y reproducirse.
¿Qué significa que el nicho ecológico sea un “hipervolumen n-dimensional”? Que tiene múltiples dimensiones según las condiciones y recursos que un organismo necesita.
¿Quiénes son los productores en una red trófica? Organismos autótrofos que transforman energía solar o química en materia orgánica.
¿Quiénes son los consumidores? Organismos heterótrofos que obtienen energía alimentándose de otros organismos.
¿Qué porcentaje de energía se transfiere entre niveles tróficos sucesivos? Aproximadamente entre el 5% y el 30%.
¿Qué representa una pirámide ecológica? La cantidad de energía, biomasa o número de organismos en cada nivel trófico.
¿Qué función cumplen los detritívoros y descomponedores? Reciclan materia orgánica y devuelven nutrientes al ecosistema.
¿Qué es una cascada trófica? Efecto indirecto en niveles tróficos inferiores debido a cambios en la abundancia de depredadores o presas.
¿Cómo puede afectar una cascada trófica a las plantas? Puede alterar la cantidad de polinizadores y la limitación de polen, afectando la reproducción vegetal.
