matter anything that takes up space or has mass
mass the amount of matter (stuff) in an object
volume the amount of space an object takes up
density how heavy an object is for its size
Mixtures materials that are mixed and can be took apart
solution a solution is formed when a solid dissolves in a liquid making it transparent
solute when substance dissolves In a liquid
property characteristic
evaporation a liquid changes into a gas (heat)
condensation a gas changes into a state of water (cool)
solvent the liquid that a substance dissolves into (water)
concentration the amount of solute in a certain amount of solvent
concentrated a solution that contains a lot of solute (salt sugar)
diluted A solution that contains a small amount of solute (salt sugar)
saturated when no more solute can be dissolved in a solvent
