matter anything that has mass and takes up space
mass the amount of matter (stuff) in an object.
volume the amount of space an object takes up.
density how heavy an object is for its size.
solution a mixture in which a solid dissolves in water to make a clear liquid.
solute the substance that dissolves in a liquid (salt).
solvent the liquid that a substance dissolves into (water).
property a characteristic of an object that can be observed (size, color, shape,texture.)
evaporation when a liquid changes state to a gas.
condensation when a gas changes state to a liquid.
mixture 2 or more materials mixed together that can be taken apart.
concentration the amount of solute in a certain amount of solvent
concentrated a solution that contains a lot of solute (salt,sugar)
diluted A solution that contains a small amount of solute (salt,sugar)
saturated when no more solute can be dissolves in a solvent
