Mixtures & solutions

mass Amount of stuff that makes up an object
volume Amount of space taken up by the object
density How heavy and object is compared to its size
matter Anything that takes up space and has weight
mixtures Two or more materials mixed together that could be taken apart
solutions Solid dissolves in water to make a clear liquid
solute Substance that dissolves in a liquid(salt)
solvent The liquid that a substance dissolves into water
evaporation When a liquid changes states to a gas( heat)
condensation When a gas changes state to a liquid (cools)
property a characteristic of an object that can be observed (size color shape texture)
Condensation The amount of solute in a certain amount of solvent
Concentrated A solution that contains a lot of solute {sugar, salt}
Diluted A solution that contains a small amount of solute {sugar, Salt}
Saturated When no more solute can be dissolved in a solvent
