Mixtures & solutions

Mass amount of stuff that makes up an object
volume amount of space taken up by an object
density how heavy an object is compared to its size

Mixtures two or more materials mixed together that can be taken apart.
solution a solid dissolves in water to make a clear liquid .
solute the substance that dissolves in a liquid salt.
solvent The liquid that a substance dissolves into water.
evaporation when a liquid changes state to a gas heat
condensation when a gas changes state to a liquid (cools)
property a characteristic of an object that can be observed(size,color,shape,texture).
concentration the amount of solute in a certain amount of solvent
concentrated A solution that contains a lot of solute (salt,,sugar)
diluted a solution that contains a small amount of solute (salt,sugar)
saturated when no more solute can be dissolved in a solvent
