Mass Amount of stuff that makes up an object
Volume Amount of space taken up by the object
Density How heavy an object is compared to its size
Matter Anything that takes up space and has mass
Mixtures when 2 or more Materials mix together that can be taken apart
Solutions Solid dissolves to make a clear liquid
Solute The substance that dissolves into a liquid
Solvent the Liquid that a Substance dissolves into (water)
Evaporation When you heat up a substance and the liquid turns to a gas (heat)
condensation when a Gas turns into a liquid (cools)
Property A Characteristic of an object that can be observed ( size, shape, color, texture)
Concentration The amount of solute in a certain amount of solvent
Concentrated A solution that has a lot of solute.(salt, sugar)
Diluted A solution that contains a small amount of solute. (salt, sugar)
Saturated When no more solute can be dissolved in a solvent
