QuestionAnswer
constant of proportionality A constant ratio or unit rate of two variable quantities. It is also called the constant of variation.
non-proportional The relationship between two ratios with a rate or ratio that is not constant.
proportion An equation stating that two ratios or rates are equivalent.
proportional The relationship between two ratios with a constant rate or ratio.
unit rate A rate in which the first quantity is compared to 1 unit of the second quantity.
proportional relationship Two quantities are in a proportional relationship if the two quantities vary and have a constant ratio between them.
