2nd estate 2% of population -didnt pay taxes -made up of bobels and nobility -diliked the enlightenment ideas- didn't dislike them as much as the 1st Esatae, but they still din't want them
3rd estate 97% of the populatio -paid 97% of the taxes -made up of bourgiouse/lower class/ peasants -enbraed the enlightnment ideas
reign of terror -lasted 1 year -tieme when maximum robosperrie was in charge as a dictator -anyone who was accused or suspected of going against the revolution was arrested -arrested people didn't have a lot of legal prtection, and man where Beheaded by the guillotine

General states meet because Louis XVI called it -he called them because he wanted to tax the 2nd estate, but that estate didn't; want to be taxed, and so they wanted to vote -3rd state wanted mor people to pay -3rd estate was outnumberd because 1sta dn 2nd estate could team up on them

Storming the Bastille -rommour of the king going to use military force to massacre the drench citizens 0people wanted to protect them sleeves with weapons, but needed gun poweder -they stormed ghe Bastille prison to get some -they got ocntroll of the building -killed gards
Storming the Bastille -tis became a great symbolic act of revoltion for the popel in france 0it inspired people to take action -this is a national french holiday July 14th
