| what is the understory | quite damp and dark. not many animals other than insects |
| what is the forest floor? | biggest of the animals here. Many plants and trees, lots of foliage. |
| qualities of a hot desert? | camels, little animals, cacti, hot, dry air, hot days and cold nights. e.g. Sahara desert |
| qualities of savannah | think of the lion king. warm temperatures, long grass. little trees. giraffe, elephants and lions |
| TRF (tropical rainforest), what are the qualities | hot and humid. thick foliage. lots of reptiles, large animals, frogs, birds. |
| temperate forest qualities | deciduous, coniferous. England has many, for example. many foxes, deer, badgers, birds. moderate temperature. |
