Hindsight Bias a cognitive bias where people tend to perceive past events as having been more predictable than they actually were before the events took place. It is often referred to as the "I-knew-it-all-along" phenomenon or "Monday morning quarterbacking".
Confirmation Bias the tendency to interpret new evidence as confirmation of one's existing beliefs or theories.
Fundamental Attribution Error the tendency to overestimate the role of personality and underestimate the role of situational factors when explaining others' behavior
Actor-Observer Bias the tendency to explain self's behavior to be caused by external factors and others to be caused by internal factors
Self-Fulfilling Prophecy This occurs when a person’s initial belief affects their behaviors and cognition in such a way as to create evidence for that initial belief.
False Consensus Effect Overestimation of shared beliefs
