| Sarcophagus | A large stone coffin often covered with writing or carvings. |
| Embalm | To treat a dead body with chemicals to stop it from rotting. |
| Tradition | A belief, custom, or way of doing something that has been passed down from older generations. |
| Depict | To show or represent something in a picture, story, or other form of art. |
| Ancient | Very old; from a time long ago. |
| Ritual | A set of actions done the same way every time, often as part of a religion or ceremony. |
| Complex | Having many parts, steps, or ideas; not simple. |
