Statistics and Models
| Question | Answer |

| Sample | A group of individuals or events selected to represent a statistical population. |
| Statistics | The collection and classification of data that are in the form of numbers |
| Conceptual model | a verbal or graphical explanation for how a system works or is organized. |
| Distribution | The relative arrangements of the members of a statistical population, usually shown in a graph. |
| Mathematical model | one or more equations that represent the way a system or process works |
| Mean | The number obtained by adding up the data for given characteristics and dividing the sum/total by the number of samples/individuals |
| model | a pattern, plan, representation or description designed to show the structure or workings of the object, system or concept. |
| Probability | The likelihood of a future that will okay math ratio of number of times 1 outcome of any event will occur |
| Risk | The probability of an unwanted outcome or event. |
