Ventured Went somewhere even though one knew that it might be dangerous or unpleasant.
Gloating Showing excessive, often malicious, satisfaction at one's own success or another's failure.
Scribbled Wrote or drew something carelessly or hurriedly.
Jeering Making rude and mocking remarks, typically in a loud voice.
Eerie Strange and frightening.
