Manchu - A people from Northeastern Asia - Seeing the Ming as weak, eventually the Manchu attacked Beijing (the imperial capital of the Ming) and claimed the last dynasty of China that of the Qing Empire
Qing Dynasty - A dynasty ruled by the Manchu people of Northeast Asia after they toppled the Ming - Used the Canton system a system where the Qing confined European traders to Canton in order to prevent the European influence from spreading
Tamerlane - Aka Timur the Lame; a Mongol Turkic ruler in the late 1300s claiming to be a descendant of Genghis Khan - Mongolian ruler of Samarkand who led his nomadic hordes to conquer an area from Turkey to Mongolia
Ottoman Empire - Began in the frontier of the Byzantine Empire in Asia Minor (also known as Anatolia) and now Turkey today - By 1453, the Turks had masterfully surrounded Constantinople (capital of the Byzantine) and besieged it with firearms and cannons -Long lastin
Mehmed II - Sultan of the Ottoman Empire who led the attack on Constantinople with an army between 80,000 and 200,000 troops; made use of a 26 foot cannon along with several other cannons - Renamed it Istanbul
