|---|---|
| Parallel Lines | Coplanar lines that do not intersect |
| Skew Lines | Non coplanar; skew Lines are not parallel and do not intersect |
| Parallel Planes | Planes that do not intersect are called parallel planes |
| Transversal | The transversal is a line that intersects two or more lines in a plane at different points |
| interior angles | angles located between the two lines cut by the transversal |
| exterior angles | angles located on the outside of the lines cut by the transversal |
| adjacent angles | angles that are next to each other and share a vertex and a ray |
| vertical angles | angles that are formed by two pair of opposite rays |
| alternate interior angles | located on the interior of the intersected lines and on opposite sides of the transversal |
| alternate exterior angles | located on the exterior of the intersected lines and on opposite sides of the transversal |
| corresponding angles | two angles that match from group of four angles to the other group of four angles |
| consecutive interior angles | angles that are on the interior of the two intersecting lines and on the same side of the transversal |
| consecutive exterior angles | angles that are on the exterior of the two intersecting lines and on the same side of the transversal |
| exterior angle of a polygon | an angle formed by a side and extension of an adjacent side of a triangle |
| remote interior angles | the angles that are not the angle that forms the linear pair with the exterior angle |
