| revising | make your writing better by adding new ideas, taking out parts that don’t fit, or changing words and sentences to make your message clearer and more interesting. |
| editing | check your writing for small mistakes, like spelling, punctuation, or grammar errors, and fix them so your work looks neat and correct. |
| fairy tale | A make-believe story that usually has magic, talking animals, and good vs. evil characters like fairies, witches, or princesses. |
| tale tale | A funny story with exaggerated (made-up and super big) events that could never really happen, often about a hero with amazing strength or skills. |
| folk tale | A story that people have told for many years, passed down by word of mouth, often showing how people lived or what they believed long ago. |
| fable | A very short story that teaches a lesson or moral, usually with animals that talk and act like people. |
| legend | A story about a real person or event that has been told over time and may have been changed or exaggerated. |
| myth | A story that explains how something in nature or the world began, often involving gods, goddesses, or magical creatures. |
