TermDefinition
Midpoint The midpoint of a line segment divides the segment into two congruent segments.
bisector The bisector of a line segment divides a segment into two congruent parts.
Angle bisector a bisector divides an angle into 2 congruent parts.
Median of a triangle. a line segment that joins any vertex of the triangle to the midpoint of the opposite side.
Altitude of a triangle a line segment drawn from any vertex of the triangle, perpendicular to and ending in the line that contains the opposite side.
Perpendicular two lines who intersect to form a right angle.
perpendicular bisector a line segment that divides a line segment into two congruent parts and which intersects to form right angles.
