Vad är en organisation? Utgå ifrån någon definition. En organisation är en medvetet koordinerad enhet (med minst två personer) med syfte att nå eller flera mål (Rationalistiskt perspektiv)
Systematiskt perspektiv: Mål bör inte vara utgångspunkten för förståelse av organisationer
Varför finns organisationer? Verktyg för att uppnå mål, höga transaktionskostnader och värde
Modernt perspektiv: Objektivt. Fokus på rationalitet, produktivitet och effektivitet.
Symboliskt perspektiv: Fokus på informella delarna och vad som ligger under ytan.
Postmodernt Fokus på att förstå fenomen på nya sätt
Transformationsmodellen Input, transformation och output. Ingrediens, bakning, bröd
Ägandeformer Företag, Offentliga organisationer, Kooperativa organisationer, ideella organisationer
