The Origin and Spread of Islam

Islam The religious faith of Muslims.
Monotheism The belief in one single god.
Muhammad A man who started and taught the faith of Islam.
Muslim A follower of the Islamic faith.
Polytheism The belief in multiple gods; more than one god.
Prophet A person who speaks for God.
Mosque A Muslim house of worship.
Qur'an The holy book of the religion of Islam.
Siege A military action in which a place is surrounded and cut off to force those inside to surrender.
