Transpiration The process by witch water is lost through a plant’s leaves
respiration Cellular respiration is the process in which cells use oxygen and digest food molecules to release the energy in food.
Flower The reproductive structure of an angiosperm
Pollination The transfer of pollen from a male reproductive structures to female reproductive structures in plants
List the 3 functions of roots Anchor plants in the ground. Absorb water and minerals fro the soil. And sometimes store food.
List the 2 functions of stems Carries substance between the plant’s roots and leaves. Also the stem provides support for the plant and hold up the leaved do there exposed to the sun.
Describe the basic function of leaves Capture the suns energy and carry the food making process of photosynthesis
What is the difference between photosynthesis and cellular respiration Respiration captures energy and Photosynthesis releases energy.
list the 3 ways a seed can be dispersed 1. when animals eat food 2. Some are enclosed in a barblike structures that hook onto fur or clothing. 3. The seeds fall of in a new area
