Partisan (noun/adjective) a supporter of a person, group, party, or cause; a member of a party of irregular or guerilla troops engaged in harassing or fighting an enemy or an occupying army. Synonyms: supporter, champion
Septic (adjective) pertaining to the nature of infection, poisonous Synonyms: putrid, infected
Genocide (Noun) the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group Synonyms: decimation, mass murder
Oppressive (Adjective) burdensome, unjustly harsh, or tyrannical Synonyms: brutal, unjust
Allegory (Noun) A literary device that can use a softer or gentler representation of a difficult topic or subject matter to represent it to be able to teach it to younger or less mature age groups.
Euphemism (Noun) A literary element that uses an indirect or milder expression to replace a blunter or more offensive expression. Example: “to put to sleep” is a euphemism for “to die”.
Anti-Semitism (noun) Discrimination against Middle Eastern people (Arabs or Jews) who share a similar language or faith Synonyms: intolerance
