How is RNA formed This is formed of a ribose a nitrogenous base and a phosphate group
What are the nitrogenous bases in RNA Adenine Guanine Cytosine and Uracil
What is the function of RNA This is to copy and transfer the genetic code from DNA in the nucleus to the ribosomes
How is MRNA created This is just a copy of a gene from DNA Its created in the nucleus and it then leaves the nucleus to carry the copy of the genetic code of one gene to a ribosome in the cytoplasm.
Qualities of MRNA It is much shorter than DNA so can leave nucleus It is single stranded Short lived
Where is TRNA found TRNA is found in cytoplasm
What is TRNA shape It is single stranded and has has a clover leaf like shape. This is held in place by hydrogen bonds
