What is Relative Location describes where a place is located in relation to another place. Where it is nearby.
What is Absolute Location describes the exact location of a place using longitude and latitude.
What is Place Place describes the human and physical features that make a location different from any other place on Earth.
What is HEI Human/Environment Interaction describes how people affect the environment and how the environment affects people.
What is Movement Movement explains how people, goods, information, and ideas move from place to place.
What is Region Regions name areas that share one or more features are grouped together.
What are Latitude Lines lines that extend horizontally on the globe and run East and West. They are parallel to the the Equator
What are Longitude Lines lines that extend vertically on the globe and run North to South. They are parallel to the Prime Meridian.
What does location tell us about a place? tells where an area is located
What is the difference between absolute location and relative location? absolute is a exact address location and relative tells where and area is in relation to other things
What are physical characteristics of a place? Give two examples. mountains, coastal, hilly, humid, desert
What are some ways a region can be grouped (for example: climate, culture, or location)?
how do the lines of latitude run lines run EAST to WEST, and are horizontal. These lines also run parallel to the Equator.
how do the lines of longitude run lines run NORTH to SOUTH, and are vertical. These lines run parallel to the Prime Meridian.
