Memory

Implicit Memory information that people do not consciously or purposely try to remember. It is automatic and unintentional.
Implicit Memory Non- declarative memory
Procedural Memory implicit memory where you don't consciously recall how to preform those tasks.
Classical Conditioning implicit memory that is associating a neutral stimulus to a conditioned stimulus.
Types of Memory Sensory, STM, LTM
STM Short Term Memory, sensory memory
LTM Long Term Memory, explicit and implicit memory
Sensory Memory creates a quick snapshot of the world around us
Iconic Memory sensory memory, visual memories of quick images
Echoic Memory sensory memory, auditory memories
Haptic Memory sensory memory, tactile memories that involve touch
Explicit Memory is the conscious memory intentional recollection of facts, info, and previous experiences.
Episodic Memory explicit memory, long term memories of our life experiences.
Semantic Memory explicit memory of facts, general knowledge, names and concepts
Prospective Memory remembering to remember, allows you to accomplish task in the future. (take your meds)
Flashbulb Memory vivid memory about an emotionally significant event
