what are stem cells? unspecialized cells that can produce or develop into many different types of cells
what are totipotent cells? can give rise to all the specialized cell types in an organism
how are animals cloned? the nucleus of an unfertilized cell is replaced with a nucleus of a differentiated cell
what are progenitor cells? can differentiate into one of several cell types depending on external factors
what are pluripotent cells? able to differentiate into any type of cell
