Water cycle the continuous movement of water between the atmosphere, The land the oceans and living things
evaporation The change of state from a liquid to a gas
transpiration The process by which plants release water vapor into the air through stomata; also the release of water vapor into the air by other organisms.
sublimation The process in which a solid changes directly into gas
condensation The change of state from a gas to a liquid
precipitation Any form of water that falls to Earth's surface from clouds rain snow sleet and hail.
weather A short term of state in the atmosphere like temperature humidity, wind percipaitation, and visiblilty
humidity The tempurature and climate of an area.
relative humidty The ratio of the amount of water vapor in the air.
dew point at constant pressure and water vapor content, the temperature at which rate of condensation equals the rate of evaporation.
air pressure The measure of the pollutants in the air that is used to express how clean or polluted the air is.
wind The movement of air caused by different pressure.
visibility The distance at which a given standered object that can be seen and identified with the unaided eye.
air mass The measure of the force with which air molecules push on a surface.
front The boundary between air masses of different tempeature densities.
jet stream A narrow band of strong winds that blow in the upper troposphere
thunderstorm A large storm that contains some lightning
lightning An electric discharge that takes place between two oppositely charged surfaces, such as between a cloud and the ground two clouds between or a cloud between two parts
thunder a big and loud sound during a thunderstorm and anystorm
hurricane A big storm that cause billions of dollars in damage
storm surge when water rises above sea levels and causes flooding
tornado A big funnel that spins very fast and picks things up and causes a lot of damage
sinkhole a giant hole that you sink in or can make a giant hole and make a new lake
wildfire A giant fire in the forest caused by lighting
muckfire a fire that burns in heathly soil
climate a tempurature over a large area for long periods of time
latitude a invisible straight line across the border
topography the size and shape of a land
elevation the height of an object above the sea level
surface currents A horizontal of movement of ocean water
