Assessment a way of collecting and evaluating data for measurement purposes
Carrer day an event that allows you to talk with mny business at one time
Carrer fair An originating time that allows you to listen to and interact with people in careers that interest you
Formal assessment written by psychology and carrer counselors who researched careers and carrer skills to create the test Informal assessment
Informational interview talking to people about careers to gather facts and gain an understanding about a carrer area you are considering
Interests inventories surveys designed to help you relate your interests to carrer clusters
Internal carrer design unique to you matching your interests, abilities, personality and work values to an ideal carrer field for you
Job shadowing an informal assessment activity where you spend several hours observing a worker at his or her workplace
Personality assessment the results reveal the behavior style that makes you unique
Self assessment the results of these tests are based on what you think of yourself
Self awareness knowing yourself at the present time
Service learning volunteering your time to help an organization or the community
Skills assessment measures how well you perform specific tasks now and whether you can master certain skills in the future
