Chemical Reactions

Atoms The tiny pieces that all matter all the stuff in the world is made of
Chemical Reaction A process in which atoms rearrange to form new subtances
Model An object diagram. or computer program that helps us understand something by making it simpler or easier to see.
product An ending subtance that is made during a chemical reaction
property Something that can be observed about a subtance, such as color, smell, or boling point
Reactant A starting subtance that is part of chemical reaction
Rearrange To change the order or position of something
Scale The relative size of things
Subtance Something that is made of all the same atoms or groups of atoms
Boiling Point The temprature at which a subtance changes from the liquid phase to the gas phase

Extended Structure A structure formed by repeating groups of atoms linked togather in a large network
Melting Point The temprature at which a subtance changes from the solid phase to the liquid phase
Fertilizer A subtance that is added to soli to help plants grow
Corrosive Able to cause damage
