QuestionAnswer
absolute value absolute value – a number’s distance from 0 on a number line; never negative
opposite numbers opposite numbers – numbers that are the same distance from 0 on a number line but in opposite directions; have the same numeral, but opposite signs
claim claim – a statement that something is true or false; can be proven with reasons and evidence and can be disproven with counterexamples
counterexample counterexample – an example that opposes or proves that an idea or claim is incorrect
notation notation – system of symbols or characters used to represent informatioN
