cynosis bluish appearance to the skin (sign that tissue is not receiving enough oxygen)
murmur abnormal heart sound
vena cava large-diameter vein that gathers blood from the body and returns it to the heart
angiogenesis development of blood vessels
anglolith stone forming in wall of a blood vessel
aortectasia dialation of the aorta
arterlasclerosis hardening of the artery
atherosclerosis hardening of the artery due to buildup of fatty plaque
ischemia blockage of blood flow to an organ
occlusion closing or blockage of a passage
varicose veins an enlarged, dialated vein toward the surface of the skin
cardiac arrest cessation of functional circulation
atrial fibrillation quivering or spontaneous contraction of muscle fibers in the heart's atrium
valvulitis inflammation of a heart valve
