Term: Mitochondria Definition: The “powerhouse” of the cell; site of ATP production.
Question: What are the four main types of tissues in the human body? Answer: Epithelial, connective, muscle, and nervous.
Term: Anatomical position Definition: Standing upright, facing forward, arms at sides, palms facing forward.
Question: What is the main function of the integumentary system? Answer: Protection, temperature regulation, and sensory reception.
Term: Diffusion Definition: Movement of molecules from an area of higher concentration to lower concentration.
