Sentence types
| Question | Answer |

| independent Clause | Can stand alone by itself, express a complete thought Subject + Predicate (No conjunction) |
| Dependent Clause | Cannot stand by themselves, do NOT express a complete thought. Conjunction+Subject+Predicate |
| Simple sentence | Consists of a single independent clause that includes a subject and a verb (Predicate) |
| Compound Sentence | Joins two independent clauses with help of a comma and a coordinating conjunction or just a semicolon |
| Complex sentence | A single independent clause and a dependent clause |
| Compound Complex sentence | Combines two or more independent clauses with at least one independent clause |
