sentence typess

QuestionAnswer
Independent clause Can stand alone by itself, Expresses a complete thought, Subject and predict.
Dependent clause Can't stand alone by itself, doesn't express a complete thought, Subordinting conjuction and subject and predict
Simple sentence consists of a single, independent clause that includes a subject and a verb.
Compound sentence Joins two independent clauses with just the help of a comma and coordinating conjuction or just a semicolon.
Complex sentence A single independent clause and a dependent clause, will always include a subordinating conjunctions.
compound-complex combines two or more independent clause with at least one dependent clause.
