| bilateral symmetry | a body plan in which an organism can be divided along only one plane of its body to produce two mirror images |
| montreme | a mammal that lays eggs |
| marsupial | a mammal in which the female has. pouch where offspring develop after birth |
| placental mammal | a mammal whose young develops within the mother |
