sentence types
| Question | Answer |

| Independent clause | Can stand by itself. Expresses a complete thought. Subject + Predict. ( No conjunctions) |
| Dependent clauses | Can not stand alone by it'self. Does not express a complete thought. |
| Simple sentence | Consists of a single independent cause, includes a subject and verb (Predict) |
| Compound sentence | Joins 2 or more independent clauses with the help of a comma and a coordinating conjunction or just a semicolon. |
| FANBOYS | for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so |
| Complex sentence | A single independent clause and a dependent clause. * will always contain subordonate conjunction |
