sentence types

QuestionAnswer
Independent clause Can stand by itself. Expresses a complete thought. Subject + Predict. ( No conjunctions)
Dependent clauses Can not stand alone by it'self. Does not express a complete thought.
Simple sentence Consists of a single independent cause, includes a subject and verb (Predict)
Compound sentence Joins 2 or more independent clauses with the help of a comma and a coordinating conjunction or just a semicolon.
FANBOYS for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so
Complex sentence A single independent clause and a dependent clause. * will always contain subordonate conjunction
