Sentence types
| Question | Answer |

| Independent clause | Can stand by itself or with a dependent. Express a complete thought. subject predicate and no conjunction |
| Dependent clause | Cannot stand by them self, and do not express a complete thought. It has conjunctions subjects and predicates. |
| Simple sentence | Consisted of a single, independent clause that includes a subject and a verb that is called a predicate. |
| Compound sentence | Joins two independent clauses with the help of a comma and a coordinating conjunction or just a semicolon |
| Complex sentence | A single independent clause and a decent clause will always contain a subordinating conjunction. (because, after, since, etc) |
| Compound-complex sentence | Combines two or more independent clauses with at least one dependent clause. |
